Interface Development

Intellisys Technology has extensive development expertise on the building and integrating of applications on the Linux environment. Intellisys has worked in the interface development arena, particularly in the manufacturing and hi-tech equipment industries.

One of our leading developments has been to develop a Linux device driver for a video card to broadcast to a receiver. Our client had an existing product that catered to this function; however, this was based on the Windows environment. Our client had stability related issues with regard to this environment, as the video files were typically very large and required to be played continuously. Linux being a more stable and proven environment in the market, our client believed that if they could develop a Linux based driver for this card they could overcome these issues.

The device driver performed the function of a Digital Video Broadcast imaging card to transmit files to an ATSC modulator. The technical design features of the card included:

• Single User System
• Linux Device Driver based Software design
• Module based device driver
